Wet weather returns Friday afternoon

Wrap up your outdoor plans early Friday as the next slow-moving system brings wet weather back into the area off and on through the weekend.

The first round of showers and a few storms develop Friday afternoon impacting the evening commute and outdoor dinner plans. Storms will bring lightning and possible heavy downpours along with gusty winds.

Saturday brings another round of showers, especially early, but there will be some breaks in the rain through the afternoon and evening. More light showers will be possible on Sunday as well as warm temperatures and high humidity.

The unsettled weather pattern continues through early next week.
