Panthers land experienced guard from Top 5 program

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Last year Pitt played with a pair of true freshmen guards and a transfer moving up to the Power 6 level. It will be different in 2024-25.

The Panthers get the experience of Jaland Lowe starting almost every ACC game, Ishmael Leggett being named the ACC Sixth Man of the Year and now the addition of graduate transfer Damian Dunn, who played in all 37 games for a team ranked number one much of the 2023-24 season.

The 6’5”, 205-pound Dunn averaged 6.4 points, 2.3 rebounds a game shooing 32% from 3 and 36% from the floor in 2023-24. One of his better games last season was 17 points, four rebounds and three assists against TCU. He also had a dozen points and half-dozen rebounds against Kansas. Prior to Houston, Dunn played at Temple and was 11 th in the conference in scoring in 2022-23 at 15.4 points per game, hitting 82% from the foul line. He had 38 points against Vanderbilt.

He is a North Carolina native, who played his final season at a high school in Georgia.

Dunn is the second transfer portal addition this week joining center Cam Corhen from Florida State.
