Houston plans 2024 graduation ceremony
HOUSTON — Houston High School will hold its 2024 graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 19, at 2 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium. There are 54 members of the Class of 2024. Standoff underway on Second Avenue in Sidney
SIDNEY — A standoff is underway in a house on the corner of Second Avenue and Forest Street in Sidney. Sidney Police, Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies and Piqua Police Tactical Response Team officers are on the scene. It is believed suspects who were involved in a stabbing early Thursday morning near Brown Park are in the residence.

SWAT standoff in Sidney ends hours later, 16-year-old in custody
SIDNEY, Ohio (WKEF) -- The Sidney Police Department has apprehended a 16-year-old male following a stabbing incident Wednesday night. On Thursday, May 16, police responded to a disturbance at Brown Park located at 100 East Clay Street. Upon officer arrival, two stab victims were found, and both were admitted to Wilson Memorial Hospital for treatment.
