Victim Identified in Deadly Jackson Shooting
The Jackson Police Department has launched an investigation into a homicide that happened on Saturday, March 15 in the 5500 block of North State Street. According to authorities, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the location, where they discovered the victim had sustained gunshot wounds. The individual was transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.

One Dead, One Injured After SUV Overturns on I-20 in Jackson
A deadly crash on Interstate 20 near Highway 18 left one woman dead and another injured after their vehicle overturned multiple times on March 15 at approximately 5:17 p.m. According to the Jackson Police Department Accident Investigations Unit, a red Cadillac SUV veered off the roadway for unknown reasons, causing it to flip multiple times and eject both occupants. Emergency responders transported both individuals to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) for treatment.
