Citizens Conservation Corp COO admits to stealing from non-profit
BECKLEY, W.Va. — A Beckley woman has pleaded guilty to stealing money from federal programs. According to court documents and statements, Jennifer Douglas, 48, was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Citizens Conservation Corp (CCC), a non-profit organization. In 2018, CCC obtained $111,221.09 from the United States Department of Interior National Park Service (NPS) that was supposed to be used to recruit, hire and pay two interns for work at the Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation for 13 months.
