Juneteenth in Alexandria: a celebration of beauty, culture and community
ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Dozens were at the Hotel Bentley on Saturday, June 15, celebrating Juneteenth, at the second annual ‘Noir the Fashion Affair’. The celebration featured a two-part fashion show, where models not only showcased fashion, but also told stories of how they overcame their struggles. From things like cancer, drug addiction even victims of gun violence, attendees heard stories of resilience and hope, all while they celebrated culture and brought the community together to honor this significant day in American history.
