Actor connects with creative Quincy Music Theater 'family'
No matter what holidays you celebrate in the coming month, there is a common bond that circulates. It’s the time of year that we all set aside our differences and enjoy time with friends and family. We honor traditions, and we make new memories together. It’s always nice to spread a little joy, whether it’s your home or work family. Although not related by blood, the family behind the Quincy Music Theater is a close-knit bunch of creative performers and producers. They’ve got a longstanding reputation for great productions each year, in a charming historic setting. “Working at Quincy Music Theatre is almost always an easy-going experience,” said actor Ty Stone. “Everyone there is clearly passionate about what they do, which I think validates the people around them. It makes everyone appreciate that we all want to create something together.” Stone will be playing Franklin Shepard, a talented composer of musicals, in "Merrily We Roll Along," running Dec. 5-14 at the Quincy Music Theater. The musical plot centers on the lives of three friends over the course of decades. It’s a pretty weighty role for Stone, who began performing a few years ago. Entertainment: Looking for fun events? What Replaced All Saints Cafe?
A few years ago, All Saints Cafe was the heart of Tallahassee, a hub of creativity, activity, and interaction. It was a place where you could find solitude when you needed it or engage in lively discussions on the deck. It was a place where students pulled all-nighters during finals week, where you could grab a vegan burrito at 2 am, and where you could drop by after a show at the neighboring music venue. However, things have changed over the years, and the question that arises is, what has taken the place of All Saints Cafe?

Tallahassee dessert shop More Than Pudding marks first year with deals
One year ago on West Pensacola Street, the sweetest creations that took southern classics to a whole new level were birthed at the local dessert shop More Than Pudding. This was owner Artesa Anderson's second tasty venture, you may remember her first shop, Sweet Boozy Cakes in Railroad Square, which offered alcohol-infused dessert, but the puddings she offered on the side left a lasting impression on many. The pudding palace has its own take on the traditional dessert, using Biscoff cookies and cookie butter instead of the usual vanilla wafer and whipped cream. It also offers 22 other delicious flavors of decadent frozen puddings to indulge in. To celebrate, the shop is offering deals for specialty desserts all week (starting Dec. 9) and giving people a chance to try the Christmas flavors at a lower rate. We'll get more into those holiday offerings soon. In an interview with the Tallahassee Democrat, Anderson reflected on her first year and all that the second holds. A year in business, that’s truly pudding in work "It's hard to believe that the concept I had in my head over a year and a half ago has actually come to fruition and people actually enjoy
