Sturgis baseball almost back to .500
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - The Sturgis baseball team took two games from Douglas on Sunday. In Game 1, the Scoopers won 16-1 and in Game 2, they won 1-0 via a forfeit. Sturgis is almost back to .500 on the season at 7-8. The team has one more game in the regular season on Tuesday at home versus Rapid City Christian.
Post 22 hitting its stride this spring
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - After dropping Game 1 to Watertown Post 17 on Saturday, Post 22 returned the favor in dominating fashion to take the series with a 12-2 win on Sunday. The Hardhats got out to an early deficit in the first inning, but quickly turned things around in the bottom half of the frame, scoring three runs to take a 3-1 lead. Post 22 tallied nine more runs across four innings to take the victory in five. Post 22 is back at Fitzgerald Stadium Wednesday against the Gillette Riders. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
