RAPID CITY, S.D. - Some Rapid City kindergartners turned into kinder gardeners Friday afternoon. Boys and girls at Grandview Elementary received a lesson on flowers from Rapid City's Greenhouse Specialist, John Berglund. They learned about the different parts of the plant, how they're grown from seed and how to take care of them once they've matured.
Rapid City's Art Alley 'cleanup' sees volunteers making way for new murals
RAPID CITY, S.D. - A group of volunteers joined with members of the Rapid City Arts Council to “clean-up” Art Alley downtown, paving the way for new murals. Since its inception in the early 2000s, Art Alley has been a cherished space for artists, locals, and tourists alike. Each year, the Arts Council undertakes a cleaning effort, which does sometimes include painting over of older murals to make room for newer ones.
