Man who fled from Slidell police with unrestrained kid in car now in custody
A man Slidell police said sped away from officers with an unrestrained infant in his vehicle has turned himself in. The Slidell Police Department said Emanuel Henry, 26, of New Orleans turned himself in Monday night at the Slidell Police Department. Henry has been booked on several counts, including domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, aggravated flight from an officer and endangering the welfare of a child.

SLIDELL, La. — The Slidell Police Department is searching for a man who fled from officers on Thursday with an unrestrained infant in the front seat of his car. An officer saw 26-year-old Emanuel Henry speeding on Old Spanish Trail with the infant unrestrained in the front seat. Police say that the officer was able to catch up to Henry at the foot of the Twin Spans and pull him over.
