High school baseball is underway and Phillips finds itself in a 2-0 tie with Abbotsford-Colby for an early lead in the Marawood North Conference.

The Loggers play at Chequamegon on April 15, and then host the Eagles at home on April 16. The Loggers play at Newman Catholic on April 19, and host Athens on April 23.

Abbotsford-Colby started the season with three out of conference games at a tournament in Millington, Tennessee on March 26-28. Rib Lake is just 1-0 in the conference but they are 5-0 overall. The Redmen started the season at a tournament in Stoddard, defeating De Soto 9-8, and Wauzeka-Steuben 16-2. Rib Lake came back home to defeat Marathon 5-3 on April 5, and after two weather cancellations, defeated Athens at home on April 9.
