ESPN will certainly be getting their money’s worth from Jason Kelce.

In a release on Tuesday, ESPN confirmed the news that they have officially hired the ex-Philadelphia Eagles center Kelce to serve as a broadcaster.

The release also contained details on Kelce’s upcoming role at ESPN. The six-time All-Pro will be on “Monday Night Countdown” (the pregame show leading into “Monday Night Football”) all throughout the regular season as well as for the Wild Card and Divisional Round playoff games on ESPN. Furthermore, Kelce will appear on the halftime show for those games together with Scott Van Pelt and Ryan Clark.

On top of that, Kelce, who has agreed to a multi-year deal with ESPN, will become a part of the network’s Super Bowl coverage each year, including in 2027 when Super Bowl LXI will be held in Los Angeles. Additional playoff opportunities, such as during Conference Championship weekend, are on the table for Kelce as well.

It is a no-brainer move by ESPN to give Kelce, a big, entertaining personality who was a very highly sought-after figure among the major media networks , as much high-profile exposure as possible. Kelce will also effectively replace this fellow ex-NFLer who is being dropped from “Monday Night” coverage by ESPN.
