The Phillies completed a 3-game sweep of the Padres with an 8-6 win on Sunday. The Padres' pitching woes continued, as Michael King surrendered 6 earned runs in 5.1 innings pitched, including three home runs and three bases on balls, as his issues with free passes and long balls continued.

The Padres briefly took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 3rd on Jake Cronenworth's 2-run homer, but the Phillies jumped back on top in the next frame on Bryson Stott's second 2-run home run of the game. The Padres pulled to within a run when Luis Campusano hit a pinch-hit 3-run homer in the bottom of the 7th, but the Phillies added an insurance run in the 8th on Johan Rojas' ground-rule RBI-double, and Jose Alvarado closed things out in the 9th to complete the sweep. The Reds will visit Petco Park beginning on Monday.
