A beloved Philadelphia food cart is preparing to add some Polish flare to the city’s various diverse brick and mortars. After ten years of covering miles and accruing fans, Mom-Mom’s Kitchen is moving its pierogies and kielbasa into a permanent home, reports local media outlet Philly Voice .

The eatery-named after co-owner Kaitlin Wine’s grandmother-will be splitting space at 3124 Richmond Street with Carbon Copy Brewing. The building, which formerly housed the Lunar Inn, will be able to accommodate up to 42 patrons; there will be table seating for 30 as well as a 12 seat bar.

Mom-Mom’s Kitchen does not have a precise opening date mapped out yet, however ownership is hoping to greet guests in another couple of months. Co-owner Ryan Elmore explains that the restaurant is enthusiastic about bringing its distinctive cuisine to Port Richmond, stating: “We just thought it would be really awesome to go back into the neighborhood where there’s a ton of Polish people but the food is underrepresented.”

While the brick and mortar’s menu is still being developed, future regulars can look forward to beloved Polish standards, including kielbasa and sauerkraut and broiled flounder and liverwurst.
