Winn-Dixie confirms store closures in Columbus, Phenix City
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Supermarket chain Winn-Dixie is planning to reduce its presence in the area by closing two local stores. Southeastern Grocers, the retailer’s parent company, has confirmed that the stores at 4231 Macon Road in Columbus and 3952 US Hwy 80 in Phenix City will close in late April and mid-May, respectively.

Reward offered for information in February Montgomery homicide
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - A cash reward is being offered for information about a deadly Montgomery shooting, Central Alabama CrimeStoppers says. The shooting happened Feb. 23 around 6:30 p.m. Police were called to Jackson Hospital in reference to a shooting victim. Caron Giles, 24, suffered life-threatening injuries and he was later pronounced dead.
