PETOSKEY — The Crooked Tree Arts Center recently unveiled a new strategic vision and mission statement for the local arts organization.

According to a press release, the announcement marks a significant milestone in CTAC’s commitment to developing an engaged, creative and connected community.

The cornerstone of CTAC's new strategic vision is the updated mission statement: "Crooked Tree Arts Center's mission is to create ways for people to connect, learn and grow through the arts."

CTAC has also identified five strategic areas of focus, including: Impact and Engagement, Quality and Excellence, Development and Stewardship, Visitor Experience, and Facilities and Cultural Assets.

"We are thrilled to unveil our new strategic vision and mission statement," said CTAC President Angela Morris in the release. "Our team has developed this roadmap that reflects our commitment to connecting our region to the arts. Our new mission statement and strategic focus areas will guide us as we continue to fulfill our mission and serve our community.”

The new mission statement and strategic vision were in development for two years, and CTAC has been busy incorporating them both into its branding and communications.

“This new mission statement and branding are deeply aligned with the identity of Crooked Tree Arts Center,” said Monica Stokes, marketing and communications director, in a statement. “They reflect our values, our audience and our commitment to being a space for community engagement. It feels so natural to who we are as an organization.”
