Since UMass moved up to the FBS, the Minutemen haven’t enjoyed a winning season. In fact, they haven’t won more than four games since 2012. UMass head coach Don Brown is in his third year during his second tenure with the program. Though the team has been 4-20 over the past two seasons, he hopes he can lead the team back to the success he helped the Minutemen, who join the MAC in 2025, achieve at the FCS level.

JD Carson Set to Lead Amherst Girls Hoops
AMHERST – The Amherst girls basketball program has found their next leader. JD Carson, the former Kearney High School girls basketball head coach and longtime assistant coach, was named the head coach for the Amherst girls basketball team. Carson is set to replace former coach Brandon Rohr, after Rohr announced he was stepping down from the position in early-March.
