    Petersburg Police officers, US Marshals arrest 2 people wanted for shooting on Croatan Drive

    PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Officers from the Petersburg Bureau of Police and members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have arrested a man and a woman wanted in connection to a shooting that took place on Croatan Drive last Friday .

    According to police, the shooting took place on Friday, April 26, in the 100 block of Croatan Drive. The male victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

    The two suspects, 29-year-old Daquan Mason and 23-year-old Anecia Elkins, have both been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and using a firearm while committing a felony. Both are being held at Riverside Regional Jail awaiting their appearance in court.
