Man wanted in Petersburg for making phone threats arrested almost a month later

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — A man who the Petersburg Bureau of Police say made threats over the phone in March has been arrested almost a month later.

According to police, 37-year-old Brandon Jones was arrested in Richmond on Tuesday, April 16, in connection to phone threats he allegedly made on March 21.

That day, officers responded to the Petersburg Area Transit bus terminal at 100 W. Washington St. for report of these threats. According to police, Jones threatened Petersburg Area Transit over the phone while saying he was armed.

Jones is being held pending his court appearance. No other information is available at this time.
