The Perrysburg Farmers Market will open for the season Thursday, but its 25th-year ribbon-cutting recognition will be postponed for a week.

The 3 p.m. ceremony will be moved to May 16, due to the rainy forecast.

The first Perrysburg Farmers Market was held in 1999 and had six vendors. Today, the market has 60 vendors and 20 food trucks; 15 of those vendors are farmers.

The market is organized by Visit Perrysburg. The market runs 3 to 8 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 10. Music at the Market starts at 7 p.m. June 6 in the Commodore schoolyard at Louisiana and Indiana avenues and runs through the end of August.
