Four more alerts indicating 27 rounds had been fired near Third Street and MacArthur Highway came in while police were to the scene of the first alert.

At the scene police observed two males, including the 11-year-old suspect, running southbound across John H. Gwynn Avenue.

Police apprehended the 11-year-old suspect in the 100 block of McReynolds Court, where they also located a handgun nearby.

The second suspect could not be found.
