Man claims deadly Miramar shooting was an accident
FORT LAUDERDALE - A Miramar man has died after a late-night shooting at an apartment complex. According to police, officers were sent to the complex at 10767 N Preserve Way just after 11 p.m. Thursday after they received reports of a shooting."When officers got on the scene, they came in contact with two people outside of the apartment complex," said police Sgt. Tiffany Roy.Inside an apartment, they found a person who had been shot. "An adult male had suffered a gunshot wound. The officer started CPR until my rescue got here to transport the victim to Memorial Regional. He was later pronounced deceased at the hospital," said Roy.The man accused in the shooting is cooperating with the police and answering questions. According to police, he said he was a friend of the man who died and it was an accidental shooting.

2 men sought after fight, shooting over parking spot at Miramar Publix
MIRAMAR — Police need help finding two men they said fought another man over a parking spot at a Broward County grocery store last week.According to Miramar Police, the men began fighting inside the parking lot of the Publix near the corner of Miramar Parkway and Palm Ave on Friday.In a video shared by police, one of the suspects pulls out his gun and fires it near the victim's head before driving away in a silver Mercury Marauder.If anyone can identify the suspects, they are asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a $5,000 reward for helping the investigation.
