Granddaughter blossoms as the star of March-April photo contest winner
Ryann Woods, 8, loves wildflowers. She lights up every time she sees a field filled with blooming flowers. Her grandmother, Rhonda Weaver, immediately thought of a photo of Ryann smiling in a field of bluebonnets when she decided to enter the Fort Worth Report’s wildflower photo contest, which ran in March and April. The picture won.
Music in the Park kicks off with Elevation

After an initial performance by Poo Live Crew was canceled due to lightening May 3, Music in the Park began in earnest the evening of Friday, May 10. Starting at 8 p.m., Emerald City Presents Elevation played for Azle residents at the central park amphitheater for the first time. The band performed pop, party and dance hits through the decades while guests enjoyed meals and snacks from a number of food trucks. The performance concluded by 10 p.m.
