Number of deadly domestic disputes are on the rise
JACKSON, Miss. — The city of Jackson has responded to at least five fatal domestic disputes in the past month. Attorney General Lynn Fitch recognized first responders and organizations that help during these tragedies during an event Tuesday at the Sillers Building in downtown Jackson. Among the list of recipients was Dr. Laverne Jackson, with the Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Jackson said she is a survivor of domestic violence.
Home destroyed by fire in Hinds County
HINDS CO., Miss. (WLBT) - A home was destroyed by fire in Hinds County on Tuesday. The incident happened on Seaton Road, which is southwest of Raymond.
