Warrants: Myrtle Beach officers found Memorial Day weekend shooting suspect hiding in garage
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – New arrest warrants show where Myrtle Beach police officers found a man accused of firing shots at a person during the Memorial Day weekend. The warrants state that after the shooting on Saturday, 36-year-old Brian Yow ran from the scene at the 66th Avenue North beach access. Officers searched the area and found Yow a few houses north hiding in a garage and took him into custody, according to the warrants.

A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run collision on U.S. 17 in the Myrtle Beach area Saturday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The deadly crash happened about 10:25 p.m. Saturday on North Kings Highway near Cove Drive, said Lt. Sonny Collins with SCHP. An unknown vehicle was traveling north when it struck and killed the pedestrian, Collins said.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - That same low pressure system that brought washout conditions yesterday will begin to make its way onshore this morning. As of 6am, the center of the low pressure system is about 20 miles off the coast of Georgetown. This system is moving slowly than molasses, but it’s expected to make it way onshore later this morning. This will continue to bring the chances for on and off showers during the morning hours. As the low moves farther inland, rain chance will decrease along the Grand Strand this afternoon. If you live in the Pee Dee, rain chances will linger in the afternoon.
