1 dead after Walker County shooting, suspect in custody

PARRISH, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A person is dead after they were found shot in Parrish early Saturday morning, according to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a vehicle crash around 12:48 a.m. at a residence on Wolf Road. They observed the crash victim suffering from gunshot wounds, and the victim later died.

The WCSO reported one person is in custody in connection to the shooting. The sheriff’s office stated more details will be announced after formal charges are filed and consultation with Walker County District Attorney Bill Adair.
