Record 23 Coral Springs Students Awarded MLK Scholarships Totaling $48,000 at City Commission Meeting
It was a day of recognition and anticipation in Coral Springs, where a group of high school seniors were celebrated for their commitment to the values of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A record total of 23 students were awarded MLK Scholarships for the upcoming academic year, the largest number since the inception of the program. The scholarship funds, totaling $48,000, were presented to the deserving youths thanks to contributions from city staff, the Coral Springs MLK Committee, and benefactors such as Fiserv and Baptist Health. The awards were handed out at the Coral Springs City Commission Meeting on May 15, as reported by the City of Coral Springs official website.
