Arc Thrift Store says ‘I do’ to first Bridal Fair this Saturday
PARKERSBURG — The Arc Thrift Store on Dudley Avenue will hold its first Bridal Fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. The fair will feature wedding gowns and gowns that can be used for bridesmaids, mother of the bride or groom and dresses for guests attending formal or more casual weddings.
Home Run for Catholics: City Park ball field to host Communal Mass on June 2
PARKERSBURG — Hundreds of area Catholics are expected to attend a Corpus Christi Communal Mass Sunday, June 2, at Bennett Stump Field in Parkersburg’s City Park. The four Wood County Catholic churches – St. Francis Xavier, St. Monica, St. Michael and St. Margaret Mary – will be joined by Catholics from Wirt, Pleasants, Ritchie and Jackson counties at what is being called the largest gathering of local Catholics in many years.

Officials from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to Lee Creek Road in Belleville, WV in reference to an unattended death. Local group donates handicap swing to the Oak Grove playground
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - On Tuesday night the Pioneer Ladies Civitan Club dedicated a handicap swing in memory of their member, Diane Fox. The idea started with Oak Grove Christian School looking to add a handicap swing to the park and the Pioneer Ladies Civitan Club hopped right on the opportunity to make that change along with Pioneer Pipe.
