PARKERSBURG – In a game that started slowly on offense for both teams, Parkersburg South hit its stride in a road rivalry matchup against Parkersburg, scoring 13 runs in three innings to force an end to the game. After six innings, the Patriots won by a final of 14-3. Both teams went three up and three down in the first inning. South scored the first run of the day in the second, coming by way of Jaiden Vargas making it home on a Parkersburg error.

PARKERSBURG — The Executive Board and Council of the Worthington Women’s Golf Association announced finalized plans for the 2024 golfing season. The season will begin with the annual dues Coffee from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the meeting room at the Worthington Golf Course Club House, said Lori Butler, WWGA chairwoman. Refreshments will be served and members are invited to attend, pay dues and sign up to play for the 2024 season, as well as reconnect with members they may not have seen since the close of last season.
