Rifle City Council approves Safe Streets initiative
At Rifle’s June 5 City Council meeting, the city approved awarding a bid for the Safe Streets Project to KLJ Engineering in Grand Junction. The Safe Streets for Rifle Safety Action Plan is supposed to gather data on traffic, bridges, revenues, crashes, pedestrian related issues, railroad issues and freight needs. These street standards will be used to develop a list of transportation issues.
