Death investigation: Body found Wednesday in Panama City Beach near Hutchison Boulevard

PANAMA CITY BEACH − Police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found Wednesday.

According to information from Panama City Beach, the body was discovered in a wooded area near Saltwater Grill, 11040 Hutchison Blvd.

As of Thursday morning, city officials said they could not release anymore information on the incident, noting local law enforcement officials are actively investigating the death.

The discovery comes during a high-traffic time in Panama City Beach, as the area is slated to hold two large events this weekend. They are the 2024 Thunder Beach Spring Rally, which started Wednesday and runs through Sunday, and the inaugural Gulf Coast Salute Air Show, which is scheduled for Friday through Sunday.
