South Dakota man convicted in Fonner Park murder case
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Nearly a year and two months after a Lincoln man was killed at Fonner Park in Grand Island, a South Dakota man is convicted of murder. On Wednesday, 21-year-old Logan Hunts Horse of Wounded Knee, SD, pled guilty to second degree murder and no contest to use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. He will be sentenced July 30. Four related charges were dropped in a plea bargain, including another charge of use of a deadly weapon, use of a firearm to commit a felony, robbery and felony conspiracy.
Nebraska Volleyball set for Spring Match in Kearney

Two more Huskers enter transfer portal
Two more Nebraska Cornhuskers have entered the transfer portal. Reports say that linebacker Korver Demma and quarterback Jack Woche entered the portal on Tuesday afternoon. Demma is a walk-on redshirt freshman who played his high school football for Gretna High School. Woche is a walk-on quarterback out of Florida’s IMG Academy. He started his career at Ole Miss before transferring to Nebraska for the 2023 season. The two joined Chief Borders in the portal after Border became the first spring transfer on Monday afternoon.
