A 36-year-old Palm Coast woman suffered critical injuries when she was hit by a car early Monday in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 12:38 a.m. on Moody Boulevard west of North Forsyth Street, the FHP stated.

The woman was trying to cross Moody Boulevard when she walked in front of a sedan traveling east, the FHP stated. The sedan struck her and she suffered critical injuries.

She was airlifted from the scene to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach.

The driver of the sedan, a 39-year-old man from Jacksonville, and the passenger, a 43-year-old woman from Leesburg, did not suffer any injuries. They were both wearing seatbelts, the FHP stated.
