Donald Trump was granted a leave from his hush money court case on Friday to attend the graduation of his 18-year-old son, Barron , from an elite private school funded by a conservative billionaire.

The former President had previously hinted that Barron might be considering The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for further studies, but no confirmation has been made about where the towering 6-foot-7 boy will attend.

However, first thing's first — his high school graduation from the exclusive Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida. Donald's celebration with his son was brief, as he is scheduled to fly to St. Paul, Minnesota, for a fundraising dinner at 5 p.m., just hours after his son walked across the stage.

Speculations are rife about Barron Trump's potential political ambitions, leading many to closely watch the son of Donald and Melania. He was offered a delegate position from Florida for this year's Republican National Convention, but he declined.

The Oxbridge Academy was established in 2011 by William Koch, the youngest of the billionaire Koch brothers, who owned the colossal oil and gas company Koch Industries and are known for their generous donations to conservative politicians and causes, reports the Mirror.

In 1980, Bill Koch, with the assistance of his brother Freddie, attempted a takeover of the family business from their brother Charles, who they believed was running it like a dictator. The fallout resulted in Bill being ousted from the company and selling his shares, which netted him hundreds of millions.

He invested over $75 million of this fortune into building a school with a "student first" philosophy. Koch has also used his wealth to fund his hobbies and support conservative causes. He donated $2 million to Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign and campaigned against a large offshore wind farm near Nantucket Island.

The billionaire is known for his extravagant purchases, such as a 130-year-old photograph of infamous outlaw Billy the Kid, which he bought at a Denver auction for $2.3 million.

Bill's older brothers, Charles and David, are major contributors to Americans for Prosperity (AFP), a right-wing political advocacy group considered one of the most influential conservative organizations in America.

Notable alumni of Koch's school include NFL running back Travis Homer, who was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks and later played for the Chicago Bears.

The school made headlines in 2016 when its former head, Robert C. Parsons, was suspended and eventually dismissed due to sexual harassment allegations.

The esteemed football program at the school was dismantled by Koch in 2018, seeing it as run by a "power elites group" who "ran the asylum" and were allegedly overspending recklessly. However, the program was brought back to life in 2020.

Barron began his studies there in 2021, following the Trump family's departure from the White House and their relocation to Florida.

In 2020, the school's Director of Advancement, Scott Siegfried, expressed excitement about Barron's impending arrival, stating they looked "forward to welcoming him into our school and community."
