Donald Trump has spilled the beans on Barron Trump 's post- graduation plans, as the 18-year-old gears up to don his cap and gown at Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida this Friday.

The former commander-in-chief had hinted before that his son might be eyeing The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a prestigious alma mater he himself attended. Reports in April suggested that Barron was also weighing up New York University in Manhattan as an option.

While the young Trump's final college decision remains under wraps, Trump Sr. let slip at Mar-a-Lago last week that Barron is now "'looking at some colleges that are different than they were two months ago." Trump, who's thrown his hat back in the ring for another presidential go-around, boasted about Barron: "Right now, he's doing a great job.

"He has great marks. He's going to be going to college soon. And we're looking at some colleges that are different than they were two months ago." In a surprising twist, Barron was tapped to be one of 41 at-large delegates representing Florida at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, slated for July 15 to July 18, where his dad is expected to snag the GOP's nod for the November face-off.

But it seems Barron will be a no-show; Melania Trump's office issued a statement saying: "While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments."

Barron Trump, the youngest offspring of Donald and Melania Trump's union, came into the world in 2006, just a year after the power couple tied the knot. He's had the privilege of attending some of the most elite institutions, including Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School nestled in the heart of Manhattan's Upper West Side.

In a grand gesture during his fifth-grade year, he whisked his entire class off to the nation's capital for a tour of the White House, where they were greeted by none other than President Trump himself. Come May 2017, the announcement dropped that Barron would be switching to St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, with a hefty price tag of about $40,000 annually.

Fast forward to post-presidency life in 2021, and it's out that Barron has taken up residence at Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, where he's currently on the cusp of graduation. Back when Trump was stepping into the presidential spotlight, he shared that Barron, then a nine-year-old with a tight-knit circle in New York City, was apprehensive about trading his familiar surroundings for the White House.

Trump recounted: "He has a very good school in New York where he has a lot of friends. But I tell him if this happens, Daddy will help people, and can help children like him, and that makes him happy. He's a young boy who is 9 years old and he is strong and smart and he gets it. He sees it."

Barron Trump recently wowed guests at a Mar-a-Lago dinner with his storytelling and humor, leaving an impression on Patrick Bet-David, Tom Ellsworth, and Vincent Oshana. On the PBD Podcast, Bet-David shared how he hadn't seen "Tom laugh this hard for an hour and a half" as Barron entertained everyone with stories.

Oshana couldn't help but laugh at Barron's reaction to his dad's impromptu DJ session during the meal, recounting, "All of a sudden the music just comes on loud. We're like 'What the h--- is that? ' He's like 'My freaking dad's the DJ.' All you see is the president on his iPad. The lights in his face."

Trump's youngest son also shared some home truths, according to Oshana, who said, he told them: "I'll be in my room and the house is shaking. Like my dad plays the music loud." Meanwhile, Ellsworth found Barron's "honest life anecdotes about family" particularly amusing, noting on the podcast, "It was just cracking me up. He was a kid. He wasn't snide."

"He wasn't telling dirty jokes. He was very, very balanced talking about getting ready to go to college, talking about where he could make shift colleges if his dad's job changes and things like this."
