Three killed in Covington County crash
COVINGTON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — Three women from Tennessee were killed in Covington County over the weekend in a three-vehicle crash. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, on Sunday morning, a 2015 Ford F150 was driving down Highway 28 near Andalusia when the truck hit a 2022 Honda Passport. The truck continued down the road and collided head-on with a Hyundai Genesis.

Elba Dam to be torn down in federal project
ELBA, Ala (WDHN) — A nearly $2 million plan to remove an “obsolete” and possibly dangerous dam in Coffee County has been announced. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the $1,931,465 project will break down and remove the unusable Elba Hydroelectric Dam, which has become a hazard to the people of Coffee County, fish and wildlife, including Endangered Species Act-listed fish and mussels.
