I stand with Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC) in requesting the termination of the “Emergency Ordinance” moratorium in Fontana that has been in effect since late last year. Ending this moratorium would allow PPOSBC to begin construction of a long-planned health center in the City of Fontana.

Sheriff Says He Wants Criminals in Jail—and Trump in the White House
The sheriff of one of California’s largest agencies said this week that he loves arresting and putting criminals in jail—and that a second presidential term for convicted felon Donald Trump will somehow enable him to do that better. Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, who oversees an area with a population greater than 16 U.S. states, said in a video statement this week that “it’s time we put a felon in the White House.” The comments were a clear nod to Trump’s felony conviction in New York City, which could potentially land him in prison, though experts say it is unlikely...

Is it a crow or a raven? Nevermore confused
Leading bird walks at the UCR Botanic Gardens taught me that Riverside’s most common wildlife misidentification problem is telling crows apart from ravens. I saw my first raven while staying at the Mission Inn during my job interview at UC Riverside. That is, I heard it first while looking from my room down into the Spanish Patio. An unmistakable “cr-oak”. Jerking my head up, I saw it soar overhead and noted its trademark diamond-shaped tail. But the Common Raven isn’t always so easy to separate from the American Crow.
