Man Accused Of Shooting Accepts Plea Deal

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) -- The Onalaska man accused of accidentally shooting someone accepted a plea deal.

18-year-old Jaquan McKinney plead guilty to 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. In exchange for his plea, the charges of Misdemeanor Carry Concealed Weapon and Felony Bail Jumping were dropped.

According to the criminal complaint, McKinney allegedly shot someone he was in a car with last October. The shooting was done using an untraceable "ghost gun," plans for which can potentially be purchased online and can be 3D printed and/or assembled at home.

McKinney was reportedly trying to disassemble the gun at the time of the shooting.

McKinney faces a maximum of 15 years in jail. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
