Rock Creek softball goes to 4th straight state tournament looking to chase a title
ST. GEORGE, Kan. (WIBW) - The Mustang softball team will also make their way back to Salina for the 4th straight season, with their 19-5 record, facing Eudora 22-4. The team has been putting the focus towards hitting as they will rely on their strong pitching core to get over the top. The team has embraced a top gun-themed season of reaching new heights.
About 90 square miles being added to Jackson Heights district
The transfer of about 90 square miles of land from Prairie Hills USD 113 to Jackson Heights USD 335 is expected to receive the Kansas State Board of Education’s final approval this week, bringing to a close more than a year of negotiations resulting from the Prairie Hills school board’s decision in February 2023 to close Wetmore Attendance Center, an action that sent most students from that school to Jackson Heights.
