Weather Extra | Got that lovin’ September feel
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Mother Nature provides the fabulous weather, and The Righteous Brothers is the musical inspiration for tonight’s headline. Given heat wave conditions will exhaust us next week, it’s a good idea to savor the days when humidity levels are low, the skies are clear and temperatures remain in the warm and cozy zone.
First Alert Forecast | The Last Day In The 70s
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Anyone feeling a bit of a chill this morning (temperatures started in the 40s and 50s) will be happy to step across midday cruising into those pleasant 70s. A pleasant area of high pressure is in control, and the air circulates around it in a clockwise fashion. This means initially it drives in cooler air from the north-- not too fun for January but just swell for June. Highs today will again stay in the mid 70s this afternoon, some of the best weather in the whole country. Overnight tonight we’ll drop back through the 60s and 50s under mostly clear skies, good enough to keep the air conditioner off and save on your electric bill. Future days won’t fare so easily.

Huntington Hotspots: Sloane Square Gallery
At Sloane Square Gallery, lifestyle and art find harmony. Recognized by the Herald-Dispatch as the Best in the Tri-State in 2023, this gallery is unlike any other. Like a scene out of “Alice in Wonderland,” the accessories ask to be touched, the chairs to be sat in, the candy to be eaten and the piano to be played. The owners, designer Jimmy Hobbs and artist Jamie Sloane, are trying to “break the stigma attached to art galleries.”
