Wind the clock back a few decades or even a century, and the words “Dalzell Dairy” meant something in Leelanau County. For 75 years and three generations, Northport’s Dalzell family was synonymous with local milk deliveries – first to homes, then to retailers. Now, 31 years after the last Dalzell milkman hung up his bottles, the Dalzell Dairy brand is coming back in Leelanau County. Only this time, instead of Northport, it’s Suttons Bay; and instead of milk, it’s ice cream. Missing 97-year-old found, officials say
UPDATE 4:10 p.m. Grand Traverse 911 reported that the missing 97-year-old “has been located by responders and is in their care.” TRAVERSE CITY — Grand Traverse 911 on Tuesday posted that a 97-year-old is missing from Traverse City. The report said Donald Beatty, 97, was last seen at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday morning at his home off Sumac Drive.
Social district proposed in Traverse City
TRAVERSE CITY — A social district could be headed to Traverse City, which would see a designated section of town allow the consumption of alcohol within the perimeter of the district. Impact100 Traverse City Reveals 2024 Grant Total, Kicks Off New Funding Cycle
2024 will mark Impact100 Traverse City's biggest contribution yet to the northern Michigan community, the organization announced on Wednesday.
