NBA reaches decision on Josh Giddey case

The NBA has reached a decision concerning the Josh Giddey case.

The league has closed its investigation into the allegations that Giddey had an inappropriate relationship with a minor. Much like the Newport Beach (Calif.) Police Department, the NBA was unable to corroborate any criminal activity relating to the allegations Giddey faced.

Online allegations (which you can read about in full here ) surfaced against the 21-year-old Giddey in November, prompting an investigation from both police and the NBA. The alleged minor victim and her family were refusing to cooperate with the investigation , which resulted in police not filing charges and the league ending its investigation.

The former No. 6 overall pick Giddey averaged 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in 80 contests for the Thunder. He helped Oklahoma City finish with the best record in the Western Conference.
