The Oklahoman's girls spring athletes of the week poll for April 15-21 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Voting is open until noon Sunday.

The winner of last week’s poll was Katherine Cook of Heritage Hall soccer.

Here are this week’s nominees in golf, soccer, slowpitch softball, tennis and track.

Girls athletes of the week

Sofia Acuña, Sr., Classen SAS tennis: A two-time state champion in No. 1 singles, Acuña won at Elgin’s tournament last week.

Maddie Cottier, Jr., Deer Creek track: She won the 800-meter race in 2 minutes, 22.44 seconds at Tulsa Booker T. Washington’s meet last week.

Juliana Hong, So., Norman North golf: Hong shot a 71 at the P.C. North Girls Golf Tournament, tying for first and placing second after a scorecard playoff. Hong has finished in the top four in all of her tournaments this season.

Emjay Lucas, Sr., Washington slowpitch softball: Lucas’ dominant efforts at the plate led the third-ranked Warriors to a 3-0 record last week. The University of Arkansas at Monticello signee posted a .667 batting average with three home runs in district tournament wins over Western Heights and Dickson.

Rylee McLanahan, So., Edmond North soccer: McLanahan provided two goals in Edmond North’s 4-0 district win over Edmond Santa Fe. The Huskies concluded district play with a perfect record.
