    Kids can get a free meal this summer. Here’s how

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Children under 18 years of age can get a free meal this summer, according to the Standard School District.

    The complimentary lunch will be served at Wingland Elementary, located at 701 Douglas Street, in Oildale, organizers said.

    Members of the community are invited to receive one free lunch meal per day from June 3-28th Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., organizers said.

    You do not have to show proof of living in the district to participate. Standard School District will be closed June 19.
