The September 26th Lightning Round
Fogo de Chão appears to be headed to Village Pointe. Grow Omaha found a building permit tied to the former Kona Grill building, along with leasing material showing the Brazilian steakhouse at the property. The segment also flags an unusual building permit for a Whole Foods sign using the Nordstrom Rack address at Village Pointe. The hosts stress that a permit does not guarantee a project will happen, making it a development worth watching.

I went looking for a cheap dresser in eastern Nebraska and came home with a bag of vintage shirts, a bar of soap that smells like a pine windbreak, and a cider donut I ate before leaving the parking field. The place looked like nothing much from the road, just barns and a grass lot and a line of cars crawling in.

New Staff Feature: Jennifer Fannon
For about 3.5 years, Jennifer Fannon has worked for OPS and recently took over the kitchen manager position at Bryan this school year. “I’ve been with OPS for about 3.5 years. I started off at the Skinner Central Kitchen at the elementary school. Last year, I had the opportunity to work in some satellite schools as a manager and random schools because a couple of the managers had been injured, so they needed a manager there working and I decided I wanted to apply for my own school, my own cafeteria and that’s how I ended up here at Bryan.”
