Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips emphasizes the clearer skies, the lower temperatures, the shifting winds, and the higher relative humidity that will stick around for today Basinwide. Along with more sunshine than clouds, temperatures will be near normal with most reaching the high 70’s, 80’s, and lower 90’s. A quick-hitting high pressure system will circulate the winds from the north-northwest to start, then from the east-northeast later on in the day. As another impulse of unstable energy aloft moves into the southern half of The Basin by tomorrow, muggier conditions will be back with southeasterly winds on the rise. Widespread rain activity will be possible, especially south of the I-20 corridor with severe storms possible with lower afternoon temperatures.
