The victim said Hamilton has damaged him, and he now has trouble trusting anyone. He told the judge not to have any sympathy for Hamilton because he may do something similar to another person.

Driver with fake decal on license plate claims he was short on money
A man who put a fake temporary tag on his vehicle claimed he did so because he was short on money. William Francis Coughlin, 54, of Riverview, was driving a white 2020 Hyundai Tucson at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday southbound on South Main Street at Cleveland Avenue when an officer ran the license plate and found the license plate had expired in 2021, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. However, the officer noticed the yellow decal on the license plate indicated it was good through “7/24.”

Woman headed to prison in fatal hit-and-run on Rolling Acres Road
A woman is headed to prison after a hit-and-run crash on Rolling Acres Road killed a 40-year-old pedestrian. Tara Rene Schiessle, 32, of Lady Lake, pleaded no contest on Monday in Lake County Court to charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving death and leaving the scene of an accident involving serious injury. The former Lake Centre for Rehab physical therapist assistant has been sentenced to three years in state prison to be followed by three years of probation. Court records indicate the prosecutor’s office waived a four-year minimum mandatory sentence as part of the plea deal. A charge of insurance fraud was also dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Summerfield man jailed after allegedly harassing fellow tenant
A Summerfield man was jailed after allegedly harassing his fellow tenant. Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called Wednesday to a property at SE 179th Place in Summerfield after 55-year-old Brian Taylor pulled a woman’s hair, according to an arrest report. In addition, Taylor, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 215 pounds, pushed the woman into a cabinet causing her to fall to the ground.
Belleview double shooting ruled a murder-suicide
Marion County Sheriff’s Office detectives have ruled that the double shooting earlier this month in Belleview that left two people dead was in fact a murder-suicide. On April 21, deputies responded to a scene at 3282 SE 132nd Place to find Erica Brooks, 37, and James Marean, 60, dead from gunshot wounds inside a residence with the door open.
