    $5 million Scratchers Lottery ticket sold in Oceanside

    OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX5/KUSI) — A “Year of Fortune” Scratchers lottery ticket worth millions of dollars was recently sold at a store in North County.

    According to the California Lottery, a man named Peter Turner purchased the winning ticket at a CVS retailer located at 1980 College Blvd. in Oceanside.

    The $20 ticket offers 30 chances to win, with the top prize being $5 million. This makes Turner one lucky player as the odds of winning the big prize is one in 3,061,044, according to the California Lottery .

    Turner is one of seven recent Scratchers winners across the Golden State who have been awarded a combined total of $27 million.
