Elton Town Council appoints interim mayor after recall
ELTON, La. (KPLC) - A little over a week since Elton residents recalled Mayor Kesia Lemoine, the town council met to call for a special election and appoint a mayor. “I recommend that we choose someone who has been on the council already, that’s been working hard with us, knows what’s going on already, and won’t leave a lapse in catching up on everything,” Mayor Pro-tem Tony Guillory said.
