    History Museum closed May 24

    The Oak Ridge History Museum will be closed Friday, May 24, for a private event.

    The museum is located at 102 Robertsville Road in the building known as the Midtown Community Center or Wildcat Den. The Oak Ridge History Museum is currently open 10 a.m. ot 2 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.

    Emory Valley Center president to speak to AAUW

    On Monday, May 20, at 1 p.m. the local chapter of AAUW will gather at the Emory Valley Center, 723 Emory Valley Road, for an informative talk about the center's activities in the community, according to a news release. EVC President Jennifer Enderson will explain the center's outreach and give a tour of the facilities.

    All are welcome to come.

    Enderson has been employed with Emory Valley Center since 2001. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. Prior to coming to Emory Valley Center, she was a direct support professional, vocational rehabilitation case manager, independent support coordinator and held various management positions in the retail industry.

    She has held several different positions while at Emory Valley Center, including professional services director and residential services director.
